How the catalog works
Search Heavy Equipment brings equipment listings together so you can compare options before contacting a seller. Here is what the catalog covers, how to read the prices and what you can see with a plan.
Which listings you will find
We consider Google ratings and reviews when selecting dealers. You can browse their listings by equipment type, make and location. Dealer selection does not replace an inspection of the machine you want to buy.
The counts and prices describe listings in our catalog. They do not represent every seller or all equipment for sale. We count listings, not completed sales.
Reading the inventory summary
The summary includes all results in your search, even when they span several pages. Alongside prices and years, we show how many listings provide that information. The year comes from the ad; ask the seller whether the equipment is new or used.
The state helps narrow your search, but you will need the exact location to arrange a visit or transport. The capture date tells you when we collected the listing details. Confirm that the equipment is still available before traveling or booking transport.
How we calculate price ranges
We calculate ranges and medians from asking prices above zero, keeping each original currency separate. Blank prices and zeros are left out. Other amounts stay in the calculation, including the highest and lowest; check any price that looks unrealistic with the seller before using it in your budget.
The median is the middle price when the amounts are sorted from lowest to highest. If there are two middle prices, we use their average. The middle range spans the 25th to 75th percentiles, calculated by linear interpolation between sorted prices. We include it when there are at least four prices and show how many were used. The full range runs from the lowest to the highest.
If you choose another display currency, you will see an approximate conversion; the original currency groups remain separate. These are sellers' asking prices, not amounts paid for a machine. When comparing two options, also check the model, hours, condition and what each offer includes. Ask about taxes and transport.
What you can see with a plan
You can browse and compare listings without a plan. With a plan, you can see dealer details, the detailed location when available and a link to the original listing within your coverage. You arrange the equipment purchase or reservation with the seller.
